British FTSE 100 increases 0.81 pct on Thursday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Thursday increased by 0.81 percent, or 50.96 points, to 6,329.93 points.

Share price of Johnson Matthey increased by 9.65 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. CRH, Royal Mail, Hikma Pharmaceuticals and Randgold Resources increased by 5.46 percent, 4.95 percent, 3.03 percent and 3.00 percent respectively.

G4S led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.88 percent, followed by Imperial Tobacco Group (2.18 percent), Berkeley Group Holdings (1.47 percent), Persimmon (1.34 percent) and Rolls-Royce Holdings (0.37 percent). Endit
