Man dies after slaughtering girlfriend's family

Xinhua, November 18, 2015 Adjust font size:

A man was found dead two days after he killed his girlfriend and five members of her family, police in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality said on Wednesday.

The tragedy happened in Nongzhuang Village in Kaixian County at around 6:20 p.m. on Monday. Yang Guohai, 29, murdered his girlfriend, her parents, her elder sister and her sister's child.

The youngest daughter met and moved in with Yang when she was working in the eastern province of Fujian, where Yang was born.

According to relatives and neighbors, Yang had argued with the family over marriage on Saturday.

The police said Yang called his mother on the morning of the crime and claimed he would "perish with the Yan family."

Yang's body was found in a pond not far from the crime scene at 5 a.m. on Wednesday. Endi
