Ireland reaches Euro 2016

Xinhua, November 17, 2015 Adjust font size:

Ireland made it to the 2016 European Championship as Jonathan Walters scored twice to nail a 2-0 win over Bosnia-Herzegovina and a 3-1 aggregate victory in their playoff on Monday.

Walters put Ireland ahead with the 24th minute penalty after Ervin Zukanovic handled Daryl Murphy's cross, and scored his second goal with 20 minutes to go.

A minute of silence was observed before the match in honor of the 129 people killed and 350 wounded in Friday's attacks in Paris. Endi
