Germany's benchmark DAX index little changed

The benchmark DAX index at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Monday gained slightly by 4.83 points and closed at 10,713.23 points.

The terrorist attacks in Paris put pressure on stock exchanges, but there was no panic selling here, according to German media reports. The blue-chip DAX index advanced slightly.

Vonovia SE, a residential real estate company, rose by 2.24 percent. Merck KGaA, a pharmaceutical, chemical and life science company, added 1.96 percent. Deutsche Post AG climbed by 1.21 percent. Volkswagen AG Vz went up by 1.15 percent K+S Aktiengesellschaft, a standard and specialty fertilizers company, gained 1.13 percent.

Deutsche Lufthansa AG lost 2.28 percent. Fresenius Medical Care AG & Co. dropped by 0.88 percent.

The turnover stood at 2.59 billion euros (around 2.79 billion U.S. dollars). SAP SE was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 201.47 million euros (around 216.94 million U.S. dollars). Endit
