Iraqi security forces on Monday fought fierce clashes with Islamic State (IS) militants and retook control of two areas in and near the IS-held city of Ramadi, the capital of Anbar province.

A total of 54 people were killed in clashes with IS militants in Anbar and Iraq's northern central province of Salahudin, security sources said.(Iraq-IS-Fight)

PARIS -- More than 60 hours after the deadly attacks in Paris, the Office of Paris Prosecutor announced Sunday that two more attackers are identified.

The first is the suicide bomber of French national stadium Stade de France, where a Syrian passport was found.

RAMALLAH -- The Palestinian presidency and Hamas movement condemned on Monday the killing of two Palestinians by Israeli forces raiding a refugee camp in north Jerusalem to demolish a house of a detainee.

In a statement published by the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, spokesperson of the Palestinian Presidency Nabil Abu Rdeineh accused the Israeli government of insisting on the same policy of "killing, extra-judicial assassination and collective punishment against the Palestinian people and their properties against the international legitimacy and the international human laws." KABUL -- A total of 20 militants have been killed and one was arrested as part of Afghan security forces' stepped up campaign against the insurgents, the country's Interior Ministry said on Monday.

"The Afghan National Security Forces conducted several anti-terrorism operations across the country over the last 24 hours, killing 20 militants and detaining one armed militant," the ministry said in a statement.

COLOMBO -- At least 80,000 people have been affected by flash floods in many parts of Sri Lanka while over thousands have been displaced, the Sri Lanka Disaster Management Center said here on Monday.
