Security measures at Denmark's Parken Stadium is tightened for the country's upcoming Euro 2016 qualifying play-off match against Sweden, in wake of the Paris attacks, local media reported Monday.

"There will be various measures in place to tighten security, including stricter access control," Danish football association's head of communication Jacob Hoeyer told Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet.

The Danish National Police and the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET) are closely following the developments of Friday's incident in Paris.

"PET continues to view the terror threat against Denmark as serious and Denmark is already in a heightened state of preparedness," a PET press release said.

"The National Police has contacted all police districts, which have sharpened their attentions after the attacks in Paris," Chief of National Police Jens Henrik Hoejberg said.

Denmark lost 2-1to Sweden in the first leg of the qualifying play-offs on Saturday in Stockholm.
