Xinhua, November 16, 2015 Adjust font size:

Tokyo stocks dropped Monday morning as investor sentiment was soured by data showing that Japan's economy had entered a technical recession following two successive quarters of contraction, with the market mood further dampened on geopolitical concerns after Friday's terror attacks in Paris.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average dropped 189.84 points, or 0.97 percent, from Friday to end the morning at 19,407.07, while the broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange fell 13.03 points, or 0.82 percent, at 1,572.80.

Notable decliners at the morning break comprised the air transport, transportation equipment and miscellaneous products-related stocks. Enditem
