France bombards IS stronghold in Syria's Raqqa: defence ministry

French military jets Sunday bombarded a stronghold of the Islamic State (IS) in Raqqa, Syria, French Defence ministry said.

The first objective destroyed included a command post, recruitment center and arsenal of arms and ammunition, the ministry said in a statement.

The second objective was a training camp, the ministry added.

According to the ministry, about 20 bombs were delivered.

The bombardment came 48 hours after attacks claimed by IS killed 132 people in suicide bombings and shootings in Paris. Enditem
