5 extremists, 1 soldier killed in Tunisia's anti-terrorist operation

A Tunisian soldier and five extremists were killed on Sunday during clashes between the army and terrorists in the central west of Tunisia, local media reported.

The Tunisian army led a raid on Sunday morning in Mount Mghila in Sidi Bouzid, the same area where a young shepherd was beheaded a few days ago.

The sweeping operations resulted in a violent confrontation, but news about the results of the raid are not confirmed yet.

On Friday, a 16-year-old shepherd named was beheaded in front of his friend who was ordered to carry the victim's head in a plastic bag to his family.

In light of the tragedy which has shaken the region and the rest of the country, the army has launched an operation in search for the terrorists behind the crime. Endit
