Poland condemns terrorist attacks in Paris

Polish top politicians and national institutions have condemned attacks that took place on Friday evening in Paris which have left more than 120 people dead.

Polish President Andrzej Duda wrote on his Twitter account: "Deepest condolences to French people, particularly families, who lost their relatives. We are with you in our thoughts, sorrow and prayers."

On Saturday morning, President Duda sent his official condolence letter to French President Francois Hollande.

President Duda wrote: "I assure you that in this difficult time you can count on Polish government and Polish people. We are French allies and we stand by your side. I am convinced that terrorists will not break the spirit on French nation."

Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs also released an official condolence letter, stating that "along with the entire international community, we are deeply shocked by the series of terrorist attacks that took place on Friday in Paris. We condemn this barbaric act".

The attacks took place in several places in Paris and included shootings, bomb attacks as well as taking and killing hostages.

French media reported at least 127 people had been killed in the attacks and 200 wounded. Eight terrorist suspects responsible for the massacre had been killed, but leaders and masterminds of the group are still at large. Endit
