Tourism watchdog advises caution for Chinese tourists in Paris

Xinhua, November 14, 2015 Adjust font size:

China's tourism watchdog reminded 1,299 Chinese tourists scheduled to visit Paris Saturday following the terror attacks there to pay attention to safety.

China National Tourism Administration asked its agency in Paris to follow developments closely and urged tourists heading for France to take safety precautions.

The administration also warned Chinese tourists in France to comply with local laws and safety regulations and not to go to areas where the attacks happened or crowded places.

China's leading online travel websites, including CITS.cn, Aoyou.com, Ctrip.com and LY.com, have so far reported that their clients travelling in France are safe. Ctrip.com said it has offered to cancel Paris tour groups in the coming week due to safety concerns.

At least 120 people were killed during the shootings and explosions in Paris and its suburbs, Prosecutor of Paris Francois Molins announced early Saturday. Endi
