France beat Germany 2-0 on night of terror

Xinhua, November 14, 2015 Adjust font size:

France beat Germany 2-0 on Friday in a game overshadowed by the attacks around the city.

Over 100 people were killed in a mass hostage-taking at a Paris concert hall Friday and many more were feared dead in a series of bombings and shootings.

The game was held in the Stade de France, where the explosions could be heard but the game was not halted.

Olivier Giroud and substitute Andre-Pierre Gignac scored a goal each for France.

The fans were allowed to leave the stadium more than 30 minutes after the game.  Endi
