Urgent: Moscow bans EgyptAir flights to Russia

Xinhua, November 13, 2015 Adjust font size:

Russia's aviation agency Rosaviatsia has banned flights by EgyptAir, Egypt's state-owned airline, to Russia from Saturday, the Interfax news agency said, quoting an unnamed source of Moscow's Domodedovo Airport.

Nobody answered the phone when Xinhua called the press center of Domodedovo Airport for comments.

Russia President Vladimir Putin has ordered the suspension of all of the country's flights to Egypt following the crash of a Russia-bound airliner on Oct. 31 shortly after its takeoff from Egypt's Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, killing all 224 people onboard, mostly Russians. Endi
