Xinhua, November 13, 2015 Adjust font size:

Tokyo stocks dropped on Friday morning as major bourses' losses in Europe and the U.S. dampened the market mood amid concerns about the health of the global economy and the yen's appreciation against the U.S. dollar added to jitters.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average fell 174.75 points, or 0.89 percent, from Thursday to end the morning at 19,523.02, while the broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost 13.06 points, or 0.82 percent, to finish the morning at 1,580.51.

Among notable decliners by the break were utilities, mining and warehousing-linked stocks. Endit
