Massa: Home fans give me 'extra horsepower'

Xinhua, November 13, 2015 Adjust font size:

Brazilian Felipe Massa said Thursday the support of home fans would provide him with "extra horsepower" at this weekend's Formula One Grand Prix at Interlagos.

The 34-year-old Williams driver said he is in the right frame of mind to repeat his 2006 and 2008 victories at the Sao Paulo circuit.

"It's always a pleasure to race at home because the fans give me extra horsepower," Massa told reporters. "It would be a dream come true to win again here."

Massa currently has 117 points to be sixth in the championship standings with two races remaining.

Fellow Brazilian Felipe Nasr, 13th in the standings with 27 points, is also looking forward to his first Grand Prix on home soil.

"It's a special moment. I want to use this energy in the best way possible by winning some points," said the 23-year-old Sauber driver.

Nasr is 13th in the standings with 27 points. Endit
