Dollar in upper 122 yen zone in early Tokyo deals

The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 122 yen zone in early trading on Thursday in Tokyo.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 122.77-83 yen compared with 122.93-95 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Wednesday, with markets yesterday being closed for a national holiday in New York.

The euro meanwhile fetched 1.0763 dollars and 132.13-14 yen against 1.0748-0750 dollars and 132.13-17 yen in Tokyo late Wednesday afternoon. Enditem
