Barcelona forward Neymar is currently the best player in world football, Brazil coach Dunga said on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old Selecao captain returns to the national team for their World Cup qualifier against Argentina on Thursday after serving a four-game international ban.
Speaking at a press conference in Sao Paulo, Dunga admitted Neymar's presence would be vital in the clash at the Monumental stadium in Buenos Aires.
"If we look at the ranking by numbers and statistics, Neymar is superior right now," Dunga said.
Neymar already has 13 goals from 14 appearances across all competitions for Barcelona this term.
He scored an early candidate for goal of the season on Sunday with a sublime volley after flicking the ball over his opponent in Barcelona's 3-0 Liga victory over Villarreal.
"(Lionel) Messi is injured, Cristiano (Ronaldo) is expected to repeat what he did last year," Dunga added.
"Neymar has improved consistently since he arrived at Barcelona (in 2013). He has done all that was expected of him with Messi out. He's in great form."
Argentina will be without a host of key names for Thursday's clash. Among those sidelined by injury are four-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi, Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero and Boca Juniors talisman Carlos Tevez.
Dunga refuted suggestions the Albiceleste would be left vulnerable by the absence of their biggest stars.
"They will have players out injured but it is still Argentina," he said.
"You lose a talented player but you get one that is maybe more focused, with more power and speed, and they can create problems. It's Argentina, their players all play at the highest level in Europe."
Brazil are currently fifth in the 10-team South America zone standings while Argentina are seventh after two matches. Endit
