British FTSE 100 rises 0.35 pct on Wednesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday rose by 0.35 percent, or 21.92 points, to 6,297.20 points.

Share price of St James's Place increased by 2.53 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Merlin Entertainments, Experian, Reckitt Benckiser Group, Intertek Group rose by 2.50 percent, 2.27 percent, 2.19 percent, 2.17 percent respectively.

J Sainsbury led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 7.08 percent, followed by SSE (3.22 percent), BHP Billiton (2.41 percent), Royal Dutch Shell 'B'(1.75 percent), Wm Morrison Supermarkets (1.63 percent). Endit
