Urgent: Gold up slightly despite stronger U.S. dollar

Gold futures on the COMEX division of the New York Mercantile Exchange rose slightly on Tuesday although a stronger U.S. dollar put pressure on the precious metal.

The most active gold contract for December delivery rose 0.4 U.S. dollars, or 0.04 percent, to settle at 1,088.50 dollars per ounce. Enditem
