BiH gov't hails "positive" EU assessment report

Xinhua, November 11, 2015 Adjust font size:

Dennis Zvizdic, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), on Tuesday hailed the assessment report by the European Union (EU) regarding the integration process in the country.

The EU report gave "a positive assessment" on the overall reform process in BiH, said Zvizdic after his meeting with the Head of the EU Delegation and Special Representative to BiH Lars-Gunnar Wigemark.

The report confirmed the European view of BiH, and it also demonstrated BiH had regained the trust of its European partners, according to Zvizdic.

Wigemark, meanwhile, noted BiH was back on track in the context of European integration and reforms, especially in social and economic sectors.

In an assessment report published earlier in the day, the EU noted BiH had started to address the remaining priorities to pave the way for EU accession.

However, significant efforts were still needed in most areas for BiH to gain EU accession. Endit
