The latest Bond film "Spectre" is set to premiere in China mainland on Thursday, one day before opening nationwide.
Daniel Craig, who plays 007 in the movie, will be joined by French actress Lea Seydoux, the latest Bond Girl, and producer Barbara Broccoli on a three-day tour in China starting this Tuesday.
The crew are expected to participate in a series of promotion activities for "Spectre," culminating in the movie's premiere in China mainland on Thursday.
At a total cost of over 350 million U.S. dollars, "Spectre" is the most expensive Bond film so far, as well as one of the most expensive movies in history.
The crew of "Spectre" preferred to shoot the movie on film instead of utilizing computer graphics to enhance special effects. Scenes like explosions and combats are thus expected to take the audience off their seats in the thick of the actions, while already raising the expectations of Bond fans in China.
"I've already booked my seat, even if there are still days to go." said Wuyanxin, a user at Weibo, China's Twitter-like social media, while Ruanjianxiaren admitted that she'd go to the cinema regardless, after so many years of being a Bond fan.
A 007 exhibition will be held from Nov. 11 to 17 at Indigo, an entertainment and shopping venue in Beijing, where "Everything or Nothing", a documentary on 007 Series will be on screen. Endi
