Nigeria defeats Mali to win FIFA U-17 World Cup title

Nigeria defeated Mali with a 2-0 victory on Sunday in the final of 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup held in Chile.

   The final game was played in Sausalito Stadium in Vina del Mar.

   With this result, the Nigerian team obtained their fifth crown in the U-17 category.

   The game began with an early penalty against Mali at minute two, but Nigerian Osinachi Ebere failed to convert the shot and Malian goalkeeper Samuel Diarra stopped the ball.

   After that both teams did not want to risk a lot, so there were few dangerous plays in the first half.

   In the second half, Nigerians went out seeking the goal. So at minute 56 Victor Osimhen made an excellent attack play and scored the first goal for Nigeria. This is his tenth goal in the tournament and he crowned the top scorer.

   At minute 59 Funsho Bamgboye made it 2-0 for Nigeria.

   Earlier in the third place playoff, Belgium beat Mexico 3-2 to finish third.  Endi
