Cuban wins gold medal in Junior Sword World Cup

Cuban Luis Enrique Paterson won gold medal in the Junior Men's Sword World Cup currently currently held in El Salvador, local press reported on Sunday.

   This is the fourth consecutive year El Salvador hosts the Junior Men's Sword World Cup.

   According to Cuban news agency Prensa Latina, the Cuban fencer said he was very happy for the victory, despite he felt very nervous at the beginning of the tournament for having to face athletes with very good level.

   "I hope this victory will open the doors for new competitions to continue representing my country," said the young fencer.

   He greeted his family and coaches and dedicated them the good result of the tournament.

   Silver medal was for Eduardo Garcia, from Peru, while bronze medal was for Cristian Edenilson Mejia, from El Salvador.  Endi
