AliExpress to send items directly to Spain thanks to agreement with Correos

Xinhua, November 7, 2015 Adjust font size:

AliExpress, the global sales platform of Alibaba.com, will send directly its products to Spain thanks to an agreement with Correos, Spain's national postal service.

Local media reported on Friday that the two companies had signed an agreement in order to improve shipments to Spain. The collaboration aims at delivering faster, as thanks to the agreement the items will arrive directly from China to Spain, and making it easier for clients to follow the shipment.

Correos and AliExpress will establish direct routes from the main cities in China to the main cities in Spain which will reduce the delivery time and will provide the clients with information about the route the shipment are following.

AliExpress clients will be able to chose the option "Correos Economy" to benefit from this service that will allow them to manage the shipments in a more effective way.

AliExpress Spain Marketing Director, Pello Zuniga, said that "our main goal is to improve services for consumers in Spain and this agreement will largely improve the delivery for our clients".

Meanwhile, Marketing Director from Correos, David Muntanola, stated that this new service was "a new step to diversify" Correos business model.

"This agreement confirms Correos' commitment to boost the development of e-commerce in Spain and will benefit AliExpress clients in our country, who are always looking for an improvement in deliveries," he said. Endit
