British FTSE 100 decreases 0.17 pct on Friday

FTSE 100 Index, Britain's benchmark stock market gauge, decreased by 0.17 percent, or 11.07 points, to 6,353.83 points on Friday.

The share price of InterContinental Hotels Group increased by 6.20 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. International Consolidated Airlines Group, CRH, Inmarsat and Royal Bank of Scotland Group rose by 3.70 percent, 3.62 percent, 3.24 percent and 2.34 percent respectively.

BHP Billiton led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 5.71 percent, followed by Glencore (4.65 percent), Randgold Resources (3.64 percent), National Grid (3.57 percent) and Fresnillo (2.75 percent). Endit
