Hong Kong chief executive meets mayor of Montreal

Xinhua, November 5, 2015 Adjust font size:

Hong Kong's Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying met visiting Mayor of Montreal Denis Coderre on Thursday to exchange views on issues of mutual concern, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government said.

Leung said Hong Kong and Canada have well-established connections, spanning from business and commerce to social, cultural and human ties, and Hong Kong is home to the largest Canadian community in Asia.

He said Hong Kong will continue to work with Canada to strengthen trade, economic and cultural relations.

Leung also encouraged more Canadian enterprises to set up business and invest in Hong Kong to capitalize on Hong Kong's role as a "super-connector" and explore business opportunities in Asia, particularly on the Chinese mainland. Enditem
