Suspicious device found in Maldivian capital, people evacuated

The Maldives security forces on Thursday discovered another suspicious device, likely to be a bomb, on the western end of capital Male, media reports said.

The device has been found at the intersection between the New Harbour and Ameenee Magu, and security has been tightened in the area. The area also has been cordoned off while police evacuate people in the surrounding areas.

The discovery comes two days after security forces discovered an explosive device near the presidential palace. Endit
