2 Lebanese soldiers, 6 civilians killed in raid north of Beirut

Two soldiers were killed overnight when an Army Intelligence unit raided a nightclub north of Beirut, the National News Agency (NNA) reported Monday.

Six civilians were also killed in the operation to apprehend "wanted criminals" in the coastal town of Maameltein, NAA said.

It was not immediately clear if any one was wounded in the the exchange of fire between the intelligence unit and those wanted. Endit
