Refugees no threat to Europe: Bosnian Muslim leader

Xinhua, October 31, 2015 Adjust font size:

It is unacceptable to regard refugees as a threat to Europe, said Bosnia's Muslim leader Husein Kavazovic on Friday.

European countries should be applauded as they received large number of people fleeing from conflicts in Syria and elsewhere, Kavazovic said.

Meanwhile, it is not justified and unacceptable for some people to spread fear that the influx of refugees, most of them Muslim people, could threaten the culture and values of Europe, he continued: "It is simply not true."

The influx would not jeopardize relations between Muslims and Christians in Europe, said Kavazovic.

There are some problems but all sides will always find the best way to solve them, he noted. Endit
