Chinese VP to visit India

Xinhua, October 30, 2015 Adjust font size:

Vice President Li Yuanchao will pay an official visit to India from Nov. 3 to 7, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang said Friday.

During his time in India, Li will hold talks with Indian Vice President and Chair of the upper house of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Hamid Ansari and meet other Indian officials, said Lu.

"Li's visit to India is an important interaction between China and India this year," Lu said at a routine press briefing.

"The visit will further support the consensus reached between both leaders, deepen Sino-Indian cooperation and give new impetus to bilateral ties," he said.

China attaches great importance to China-India ties, and regards India's development as an opportunity, said Lu. Endi
