Lawyer shoots Bar president before committing suicide in France: report

A lawyer opened fire on the president of the Bar of Melun court in north-central France on Thursday before killing himself, news channel BFMTV reported.

The shooting occurred at around 9:00 a.m. local time (0800 GMT) at the president's office, the report said.

The victim was sent to hospital immediately after the attack and is dead, BFMTV said, quoting a source from the investigation.

The cause of the shooting was not immediately known. But according to BFMTV, the shooter was in conflict with the victim for a long time. Endi
