Over 15,000 refugees currently in Slovenian centers

Nearly 15,300 refugees have been placed by Wednesday morning at several centers across the country, the Slovenian Press Agency (STA) reported.

Citing a latest Slovenian police report, STA reported that 6,877 refugees entered Slovenia on Tuesday. An additional 2,234 came to Slovenia by 6 a.m. local time on Wednesday morning, while 1,100 exited the country at Sentilj border crossing with Austria during the night.

The tent city in Sentilj remained the biggest refugee center, having housed nearly 4,400 people Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, two reception centers in the town of Dobova, near the border with Croatia, provided shelter for a total of 4,100 people at 6 a.m., STA reported.

The total number of refugees who entered Slovenia in the past 12 days since Hungary closed its borders is nearing 90,000. On the other hand, nearly 64,000 people crossed into Austria during this time. Endit
