French stock market index down 1.02 pct on Tuesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 finished the trading day with a decrease of 1.02 percent to close at 4,847.07 points on Tuesday, down 50.06 points.

Investors wants to stay cautious before the monetary policies of the Federal Reserve, the American central bank, the CAC 40 of Paris closed lower on Tuesday with 35 of the 40 selected stocks experiencing decrease.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Tuesday were ArcelorMittal, down 5.31 percent, Technip, down 3.71 percent, and Lafargeholcim Ltd, down 2.94 percent.

The top three gainers on Tuesday were Peugeot, up 1.60 percent, Alstom, up 0.86 percent, and Air Liquide, up 0.73 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 closed with a decrease of 0.54 percent to close at 4,897.13 points, down 26.51 points. Endit
