Belarus supports Russia' s actions in Syria

Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei said Tuesday that Belarus supports Russia's actions to combat international terrorism in Syria.

Russia launched military activities in Syria at the request of the Syrian government, so these activities are fully compliant with current international norms, Makei told journalists after a joint session of the boards of Belarusian and Russian foreign ministries in Moscow.

Makei said that international terrorism was a threat to the whole mankind, and that the international community should clearly identify its role in the fight against this scourge .

He expressed the belief that the United Nations should play a more important role in resolving the Syrian crisis and combating international terrorism. Endi
