6 wounded as India, Pakistan exchange fire in Kashmir

At least six civilians were injured Monday after troops of India and Pakistan fired on each other's positions in the disputed Kashmir region, officials said.

The exchange of fire broke out in Samba sector, about 53 km south of Jammu city, winter capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir.

Media reports said the panic stricken people from the frontier areas have started migrating to safer places.

The Pakistani side has reported three causalities in the exchange. Endit
