"The Martian" was again the favorite choice for moviegoers this weekend in the United States and Canada, overtaking Sony's "Goosebumps" to be the No.1 film for the third time in its four weeks of exhibition.

"The Martian" was projected to sell 15.9 million U.S. dollars in tickets in its fourth weekend in release. Starring Matt Damon, the space drama has amassed more than 166 million dollars in North America, according to box office tracker Rentrak.

"Goosebumps" was second, with 15.5 million dollars in weekend gross sales. The 3D horror comedy starring Jack Black was down 34 percent from last weekend's debut. The ten-day take for "Goosebumps" stands at 43.7 million dollars.
