The European Union (EU) and Balkan countries are seeking to further cooperation on tackling migrant crisis at a mini summit held here on Sunday.

The extraordinary meeting, called by EU's chief executive Jean-Claude Juncker, was attended by leaders from Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia, as well as concerned refugee organizations. (EU-Migrant Crisis)

JAKARTA -- Fire at a karaoke bar earlier Sunday in Manado city in eastern Indonesia has left 12 people dead and 73 others injured, head of local disaster management agency said.

The fire occurred at about 1:00 a.m. local time at the second floor of a building on Boulevard street, triggering thick smoke, Head of local Disaster Management Agency Max Tatahede said. (Indonesia-Fire)

JERUSALEM -- Israeli cabinet on Sunday said that the Islamic State (IS), the al-Nusra Front, and Abdullah Azzam Brigades are officially declared "illegal terror organizations."

The Prime Minister's office said in a statement that the IS has inspired affiliate groups in Israelis.

"The IS militant group is expanding the territory under its control and at the same time winning widespread support among Muslims in the Middle East and around the world," the statement said. (israel-Terror Groups)

CAIRO -- Egyptian Army and police forces killed 25 Islamist militants during clashes in North Sinai in the last two days, state-run MENA news agency reported Sunday.

The joint forces dismantled 39 explosive devices and arrested 15 suspects in the province, the report said.

The forces also destroyed several hideouts of explosives and seven tons of cannabis, it added. (Egypt-Militants)
