The plan envisages the building of more schools, hospitals, health units, roads and bridges, the rehabilitation of several infrastructures, among other programs.

Lazare and his delegation will hold talks with finance and economy Minister Adriano Maliane to discuss the economic growth in Mozambique.

The IMF mission will be visiting several economic projects in which it is involved. The IMF is mainly involved in the infrastructural projects, such as roads and bridges, under bilateral cooperation with Mozambique.

The international financial institution praised Mozambique for its annual growth which stands at more than 7 percent. But it warned that the government must do more in the fight against poverty both in urban and rural areas.
