Pelicans' Evans has arthroscopic surgery

New Orleans Pelicans said Tuesday that guard Tyreke Evans has successfully had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.

While the club did not immediately provide a timetable for Evans' return.

The 6-foot-6 Evans averaged 16.6 points, 6.6 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game last season.

He played in two recent preseason games, averaging 17.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists.

Evans has averaged 16.8 points, 5.2 assists and 4.9 rebounds during his career. Enditem
