Mexico City's Zocalo Square to host 2015 Archery World Cup finals

Mexico City's Zocalo Square will host the finals of the 2015 Archery World Cup on Oct. 24-25, local press reported Tuesday.

The finals will gather the best 32 archers in the season and in the World Championship, including Mexican Linda Ochoa and South Korean Ki Bo Bae, current world No. 1 and two-time Olympic champion.

In composite bow category, Mexicans Ochoa and Stephanie Salinas achieved a ticket to the finals after the series at Shanghai, China; Antalya, Turkey; Wroclaw, Poland and Medellin, Colombia.

Colombians Sara Lopez and Alejandra Usquiano, Russians Natalia Avdeeva and Mariia Vinogradova, Spaniard Andrea Marcos and American Crystal Gauvin will also take part in the finals.

In recurve bow, besides Bae, American Brady Ellison, current champion of 2014 World Cup final, will also be present.

Other male elites include South Koreans Kim Woojin and Lee Seungyun, French Jean-Charles Valladont, Chinese Xing Yu, American Collin Klimitchek and Spaniard Miguel Alvarino Garcia

Other female contenders include Japanese Kawanaka Kaori, Colombian Ana Maria Rendon, American Mackenzie Brown and Hindu Deepika Kumari. Endit
