Roundup: HK stocks close 0.37 pct lower

Hong Kong stocks moved down 86.39 points, or 0.37 percent, to close at 22,989.22 points on Tuesday.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 22,843.04 and 23,057.93. Turnover totaled 65.72 billion HK dollars (about 8.48 billion U.S. dollars).
The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index dropped 0.37 percent, or 39.09 points, to close at 10,649.45 points.
Three of the four sub-indices lost ground. The Commerce & Industry fell the most by 0.62 percent, the Properties 0.54 percent and the Finance 0.18 percent. The Utilities rose 0.15 percent.
Local property stocks were generally down. Sun Hung Kai, one of Hong Kong's largest property developer by market value, closed at 104.4 HK dollars, down 1.04 percent. Henderson Land edged down 0.9 percent to 49.6 HK dollars. CKH Holdings ended at 106.4 HK dollars, down 1.02 percent.
Banking giant HSBC, which accounts for the largest weighting of the Hang Seng Index, lost 0.4 percent to 62.3 HK dollars.
Bank of East Asia, one of the largest local banks in Hong Kong, moved down 0.69 percent to close at 28.6 HK dollars.
Local bourse operator HKEX edged down 1.17 percent to 203 HK dollars.
Mainland-based financial stocks closed mixed. Bank of China dipped 0.79 percent to close at 3.74 HK dollars. China Construction Bank went up 0.35 percent to 5.78 HK dollars. Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, the nation's largest lender, slid 0.4 percent to 5.03 HK dollars.
Energy stocks closed lower. China's top refiner Sinopec retreated 0.86 percent to 5.76 HK dollars. PetroChina, the country's largest oil and gas producer, slid 1.54 percent to 6.39 HK dollars.
China Mobile, China's dominant mobile carrier, fell 0.26 percent to 95.7 HK dollars. China Unicom, another Chinese telecom giant, lost 3.02 percent to 10.26 HK dollars. (1 U.S. dollar equals to 7.75 HK dollars) Enditem
