Leung pledges to increase housing supply

Xinhua, October 20, 2015 Adjust font size:

Hong Kong Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying said Tuesday that the government will continue to increase the supply of new homes to meet robust housing need.

Land supply has increased dramatically over the past three years, leading to a sharp rise in home supply this year, Leung told a media session before the Executive Council meeting.

The efforts adopted by the government including stamp taxes have taken effects in recent years, Leung said, pledging to further curb speculation on residential properties and increase home supply. Endit
