Houston Rockets beat New Orleans Pelicans in NBA preseason game

Thanks mainly to its wonderful performance in the fourth quarter, the Houston Rockets surprisingly beat the New Orleans Pelicans 120-100 in a preseason game at the Toyota Center on Monday night.

With the absence of several major players like Dwight Howard, who missed a sixth consecutive preseason game with back tightness, the Rockets started Monday night's game against the Pelicans.

The Rockets did not perform as good as what its fans expected. After losing the first quarter with a score of 27-37, the Rockets outscored the Pelicans 29-22 in the second quarter, thus finishing the first half after being fallen behind the Pelicans 56-59. The Rockets ended the third quarter with a score of 24-28, but finally outscored the Pelicans 40-13 in the fourth quarter.

James Harden of the Rockets scored 20 points while his teammates Trevor Ariza and Ty Lawson had 18 points apiece. For the Pelicans, Ryan Anderson had 23 points, and his teammates Jeff Adrien and Kendrick Perkins added 11 points and 10 points respectively.

On Friday, the Rockets will have their preseason finale against the San Antonio Spurs. Endi
