Protesters on Saturday took to the streets of Strasbourg, seat of the European Parliament, against the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), a trade agreement currently being negotiated between the European Union (EU) and the United States.

The demonstration was called for by members of the protest group "Stop TAFTA" (the French acronym for TTIP) which comprises 142 associations, trade unions and other groups. (France-Protest-TTIP)

BERLIN -- Thousands of people protested in Berlin on Saturday against a free trade deal under negotiations between the United States and the European Union (EU).

Protesters including civil rights groups, environmentalists, labor union members and opponent political parties marched in streets of downtown Berlin, banging drums, clutching flags and posters and chanting slogans. (Germany-Protest-TTIP)

SRINAGAR, Indian-controlled Kashmir -- Three persons suffered burn injuries after a truck was attacked by a petrol bomb in Indian-controlled Kashmir, officials said Saturday.

The attack was carried out in Udhampur town, about 230 kilometers south of Srinagar city, the summer capital of Indian- controlled Kashmir. (India-Bomb)

ANKARA -- Death toll of the deadly twin blasts that hit a train station in the Turkish capital Ankara on Saturday rose to 95, according to an official statement issued by the office of Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.

The explosions rocked the train station where several unions, civic society organizations and pro-Kurdish People's Democracy Party were due to hold a rally. (Turkey-Blasts)

GAZA -- Two Palestinians were killed and three injured on Saturday in clashes between young men and Israeli soldiers at the border between the Gaza Strip and Israel, Palestinian medics said.

The medical source said that 13-year-old Marwan Barbakh and 15-year-old Ibrahim Othman were shot dead in the clashes, while another three young men were injured. (Israel-Palestine-Clash) Endi
