Chinese, Ecuadorian foreign ministers hold talks on ties

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks with visiting Ecuadorian Foreign Minister Ricardo Patino on Thursday.

Wang praised the establishment of a bilateral strategic partnership in January and said China is ready to work with Ecuador to push forward high-level exchanges, enhance cooperation in energy, infrastructure and other traditional fields, as well as explore new areas of cooperation.

Wang also stressed that China will enhance international capacity cooperation and provide necessary financial and technical assistance to upgrade cooperation between China and Latin America.

Patino is paying an official visit to China from Oct. 7 to 8 at the invitation of Wang. Endit
