Tokyo shares end mixed by break ahead of BOJ decision

Tokyo shares ended the morning session mixed on Wednesday as investors maintained cautious ahead of the Bank of Japan's policy decision due later the day.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 30.52 points, or 0.17 percent, from Tuesday to 18,155.58.

However, the broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 3.90 points, or 0.26 percent, to 1, 479.74. Endi
