Bangladesh puts border forces on "highest alert" following killings

Bangladesh has put its border forces on "highest alert" to stop killers of two foreigners from escaping.

"We've asked border forces to maintain highest alert so that killers of two foreigners can not escape from the country," said an official of the Home Ministry on Tuesday.

The official who preferred to be unnamed said immigration police have also been asked to heighten monitoring at check-posts.

Japanese national Hosie Kunio was gunned down on Oct. 3 in northern Rangpur district, some 304 km off capital Dhaka, five days after the killing of an Italian citizen Tavella Ceasar in Dhaka's diplomatic zone. Endi
