Vietnamese politburo to submit report on key personnel for next leadership

Vietnamese politburo is expected to submit to the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) a report on personnel plans for the politburo, the secretariat and key leaders for the next tenure during the ongoing party meeting.
The 12th plenary of the 11th CPVCC opened here on Monday with major tasks on review of socio-economic performance in 2015 and plans for 2016, personnel preparations for the 12th CPVCC and elections of the 14th National Assembly (NA) and People's Councils at all levels for 2016-2021 tenure.
In his opening remarks on Monday, CPV General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong asked the CPVCC to thoroughly study the politburo's report on personnel plans and relevant documents to discuss and give comments, especially about criteria for re-election of current members of the CPVCC, politburo and secretariat.
The 12th plenary of the 11th CPVCC is scheduled to convene through Sunday, reported the official online newspaper of the CPV.
