Bayer Munich crushed Dortmund 5-1 to maintain their perfect record meanwhile Cologne stopped Schalke's winning run with a 3-0 win to complete the 8th round in Bundesliga on Sunday.

Josep Guardiola's men won the top-clash against runner up Dortmund 5-1 to secure the eighth victory in as many games. The "BVB" suffered a nightmare at Bayern as Thomas Mueller's first half brace and Robert Lewandowski's second half brace sealed the deal within 58 minutes.

After a slow start by the titleholders they gained a foothold into the game at 26th minute as Thomas Mueller made use of a long ball by Jerome Boateng to beat onrushing Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Buerki for the opener.

Nine minutes later, Thomas Mueller was again in the thick of things as he sealed his brace from the penalty spot after Henrikh Mkhitaryan felled Thiago Alcantara inside the box.

Thomas Tuchel' s men responded moments later with their top scorer Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, who scored his 10th goal of the season following Gonzalo Castro's square pass to far post.

However, the German giants remained unimpressed and restored their two-goal lead after the restart as former Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski slotted home another long ball by Jerome Boateng, 23 seconds into the second half.

The Polish international and Bundesliga top scorer extended his goal tally to 12 goals in 8 games after tapping in Mario Goetze' s pinpoint cross to the far post in the 58th minute.

Things turned from bad to worse for Dortmund as Goetze, another former Dortmund player, marked the 5-1 to take the wind out of the visitor's sails with 67 minutes played.

With the result, front-runners Bayern Munich increase their advantage to seven points whereas runner-up Dortmund suffered their first loss of the season.

Schalke were unable to extend their four-game winning run as Cologne snatched a 3-0 victory on the road to reap the third win of the campaign.

The visitors from Cologne started highly motivated but as the match progressed Schalke took over to create promising opportunities through youngster Leroy Sane.

Nonetheless, Cologne remained dangerous on the counters and that is how it came that the "Billygoats" broke the deadlock just before the break. Leonardo Bittencourt's pass into path allowed Anthony Modeste to score his 6th goal of the season following a fast break.

Cologne continued their clinical performance with two second-half goals by Jan Gerhardt and substitute Simon Zoller to put the game beyond doubt at the 84th minute.

Despite the loss of point Schalke remain on the 3rd place while Cologne climb to the 5th position in the table.

Elsewhere, Leverkusen shared the spoils with Augsburg following a 1-1 as Leverkusen's Hakan Calhanoglu squandered a handball penalty in the closing period. Leverkusen slump to the 7th position whilst Augsburg stay on the 16th place. Endi
