SHENZHEN, China, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) - Top seed and world No.5 Tomas Berdych overcame third seed Tommy Robredo on Sunday after a 26-hour rain delay, joining Garcia-Lopez in the final of ATP Shenzhen open.

Rains forced Berdych and Robredo back into the locker room six times during a 26-hour rain delay from Saturday noon to Sunday afternoon.

The match finally got underway with Berdych reeling off five games to lead 5-0 at first set. Although the Spaniard managed to got one back, the Berdych won 6-1.

The second set saw Robredo gradually get in form but the match was suspended by rains for more than four hours when it was 3-3. Berdych came back stronger to win the second set 6-4.

"I tried to win the three previous finals this year and I will try to do the same tomorrow," Berdych said, who lost his three previous finals and still in a title drought in 2015.

"I have to prepare myself as best as I can and bring all my weapons to win the title," he added.

Another Spaniard, Guillermo Garcia-Lopez, however, came from behind to beat second seed Marin Cilic 1-6, 7-5, 6-3.

"Everything was difficult, a lot of rain delay, it is not easy for both of us," Cilic said.

"It was a not a perfect situation to play, the light was dark, it was a unlucky day for me," the 27-year old Croatian said. Endi
